During these seven days the participants will share with their peers from different regions, countries and backgrounds, their vision of what kind of transition they have, had or are having.

Why in one region or country the transition was more successful and in another one it seems to have no end. The main aim of this seminar is to give participants a common understanding of political economic, democratic transitions. This topic will help us to share our realities, best practices, identify the obstacles, cultivate ideas and find solutions for common problems. The following objectives were set:
• explore the concept of transition, to strengthen the role and sustainable participation of civil society groups in their respected regions
• to provide a space for dialogue and reflection for civil society organizations
• discuss, debate and share views on different stages of transition and to identify the role of European Union and its member states in it
• reflect on the role of the young people and the youth work in the processes to understand weather the youth engagement was provided enough or if there is a room for improvement
• share experiences in relation with youth work among participants coming from different realities, situations, backgrounds and civil societies across Europe
• promote Youth in Action program as a powerful tool to encourage young people’s participation in their community life and improve it through the creation of new projects.
The main added value of this seminar is the composition of the countries and partner organizations of the seminar. Balkans, Baltic countries, ex soviet member states, which nowadays are members of the EU and of course the Eastern Partnership countries which are in a long process of transition and on the way to European integration. The seminar will help the participants to value what they have and to aim high and to work towards the improvement of their realities. The seminar will also host interesting speakers-experts which will present the current processes of the transition of different regions and also the integration processes within Europe. Facilitators from the partner organizations will help to hold productive and meaningful discussions and sessions. We look for 3 motivated youngsters - Available places left: 2. Participation fee for the project is 30% of the travel costs.
if you have questions, mail to: new_group@sciby.org

Our experts together with participants will create a
new approach and quality in cultural non-material heritage among organizations. The key fact is that we want
to use this outcome to continue on working together in the projects on international level. In this seminar we
will combine two learning methods, more formal lecture given by the experts and a discussion panel, second
part will be focused on peer-to-peer education among the participants themselves.
The topic of preserving oral histories is an outcome of many discussions we had with our volunteers.
Sometimes they suffer lack of identity and sense of belonging. That is why this methodology using potential of
living treasures (people with unique skills and knowledge) will help them in life, this is especially true for
those young people who are from countries with internal conflict and wars.

Application Form can be founded here:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0oBWPZenIj1NnE3cXU1WW1od0U

If you have any questions mail t0: new_group@sciby.org

Deadline to express interest 11 october 2012

Overall Aim of theTrainingCourse:

The theme of the training is gender equalityamongyouth. The objectives of the training are to question prevailing gender norms that exist in our different backgrounds, to try new understandings, link the question to other categories of discrimination and to find ways of spreading the adequate methods to reach gender equality according to our local contexts. We will deal also with the question of norm around gender, but also other norms, which are closely linked with gender. These other norms are class, sexuality or ethnicity. All of these other categories change the conditions for a person, not only gender. Therefore, if we want freedom and peace for all, we need to also take these other categories of oppression in consideration when we study the question of gender inequality. In this matter, we will take a closer look at the term intersectionality, a concept used more frequently by NGO's.We aim to do this through non-formal educational methods and discussions about the situations in our countries. We expect the participants to bring back new ideas and ways to combat gender inequality to their organizations and to mainstream it in their daily work with youth.

Objectives:

-To understand the concept gender, how it is related to other norms such as age, class and ethnicity,

-to learn concrete methods and tools for questioning norms, to encourage people to stand for their rights,
-to share experiences around the subject between European and Partner countries,
-to promote Loesje methods

Profile of participants:
25 youth leaders, youth workers, volunteers, mentors and facilitators
